One thing you do learn is to carry spare change in your pocket, either quarters or shekels, because the bathrooms aren't always free. Some places they are, but others they are not. I learned this on day 3, but I forgot to post this picture.

This was our first stop of the morning, the Jordan River, known as Yardenit. We made this stop today because someone in our group decided they wanted to be baptized.

This is a picture of our fearless leader Michael, our tour guide Aram, and my friend Lauren in front of an Armenian translation. (They are Armenian.)

This is three more translations. The end one is in English and for those who can't read it, it talks about how Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.

Here is Michael preparing for the baptism. It was by sprinkling, not immersion. I know, not quite as cool, but still, it was a baptism at the Jordan River.

And the baptism begins with everyone gathered around to be witness.

And voila, Dana is baptized.
To be continued...
