Day 4 continued...

After packing up, loading the bus, and stopping by the Jordan River for a baptism we left Tiberias and headed to Jerusalem. Our second site of the day was a church in Cana, where Jesus performed his first public miracle by turning water into wine at a wedding feast.

At all the churches, you always need to look up or you miss some beautiful stuff.

This was a beautiful church in Nazareth. Nazareth was the home of Joseph and Mary and where Jesus grew up.

Bathroom break, or as they call it, a wash closet break. This one was a little more expensive. They wanted 2 shekels!

Megiddo was fortified by King Solomon and was the site of a battle in which King Josiah was killed.

This is the beautiful view of the Jezreel Valley from Megiddo.

Going down, down, down to the hidden underground entrance/exit.

This is the exit.

This is Madge, Lauren, and Carlos getting ready to take a tour of Caesarea, a center of the early Christians. Here, Cornelius became the first Gentile convert and Paul was imprisoned for two years before being taken to Rome for Trial.

The following are pictures of more of Caesarea.

Here's Lauren and I being silly! :o)

This is a picture of the Mediterranean sea. I just really like this picture of the waves crashing on the rocks.

This is the Roman Theatre at Caesarea.

Lauren and I near the Mediterranean Sea.

The beautiful sunset at the aqueducts on the beach.

After leaving the aqueducts, we headed to our new hotel which was a lot nicer than our last one. It was called the Olive Tree Hotel.

This is the night view from my hotel room.

And here is our room.

And that's the end of day 4! Stay tuned for day 5! :o)
